Hutchins BBQ surprised a North Texas family, whose young grandson is fighting rare cancer, with a $33,000 check, according to a CBS Texas article. They say,
“A Frisco barbecue restaurant raised funds to surprise a North Texas family, as their young grandson battles a rare form of cancer.
“I never dreamed that anyone would do this for us…never,” Connie Sales said, holding back tears.
She said Hutchins BBQ is more than just her family’s favorite spot to eat.
“They’re awesome, they have really been a real blessing to our family…I can’t say it enough,” Sales said.
On Friday, the Hutchins staff, along with owner Tim Hutchins, surprised the Sales family with a $33,000 check.”
During Meat Week, Hutchins BBQ donated all proceeds from Texas Twinkie sales to the Sales family, who are facing health challenges, according to an InsideDFW article. They say,
“Earlier in the year, for an entire week, the store pledged to donate 100% of online and in-store Texas Twinkie purchases directly to the Sales family. This took place during Meat Week to help the family as they face a series of complex health issues.”
Hutchins BBQ’s Frisco and McKinney locations donated all Texas Twinkie sales proceeds for a week to Bentley’s family.
