Kinzo Sushi is the new sushi bar in Frisco

Chef Leo Kekoa who used to work for Nobu in Dallas came up with Kinzo Sushi together with Kyle Choi to bring good Japanese food to Frisco according to a CultureMap Dallas article. They say,

“A new sushi restaurant has debuted in Frisco with the noble mission of bringing the omakase experience to residents in the area and saving them a drive to Dallas.

Called Kinzo Sushi, it just opened in North Frisco near Little Elm, at 14111 King Rd. #2100, where it’s serving sushi, plus special hot and cold dishes, plus a full bar.

The restaurant is a partnership between manager Kyle Choi and chef Leo Kekoa, who previously worked for Nobu.

“We are at the border of Frisco, Little Elm, and The Colony, and there’s a big audience — we just wanted to bring good food to the neighborhood,” Choi says.”

However, Kinzo Sushi’s menu will not just feature temaki and sashimi as they are including Toyosu Market’s specialities including,

  • Kinmedai
  • Aji
  • Akamatsu
  • Kurodai
  • Suzuki
  • Wagyu A5
  • Kohada
  • Kamasu
  • Abalone
  • Anago
  • Aoyagi
  • Hokkaido Uni

The sushi restaurant will mainly focus on their Omakase and Temaki but they are willing to serve a few sushi or even yakitori grilled skewers.
