Postino, the beloved Phoenix-based wine bar, is making a comeback in North Texas with new locations in Addison and Southlake opening in 2023, according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,
“Those who miss having a good time at Postino, the funky wine bar originally from Phoenix, will no longer have a reason to be sad. It’s about to return to North Texas.
After its short venture in Deep Ellum, where the chain’s first D-FW location was open for almost two years, Postino will return with a location in Addison and another in Southlake, opening in the summer and fall of 2023, respectively. An exact opening date is not yet available.”
Postino Wine Café pays tribute to its origins with a postman-inspired name. With 23 locations across multiple states, they offer affordable wine, shareable food, and unique atmospheres tailored to each community, according to a CultureMap Dallas article. They say,
“Postino Wine Café draws its name from the Italian word for postman, an homage to the former 1940’s post office in Phoenix where the first Postino opened 21 years ago. There are currently 23 locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, and Texas, including six in Houston, with each location unique to the neighborhood and community in which it lives.
They’ve built a following thanks to great prices on wine, a menu of sharable items, and expansive patios on which to drink and eat. Hallmarks include mid-century modern furniture sourced from local vintage shops, quirky found art objects, rollup garage doors, custom walnut wine walls, and cool music.”
After a successful run in Deep Ellum, Postino decided to close its doors there to focus on new locations in DFW. With upcoming openings in Addison and Southlake, the wine bar continues to expand its presence in Texas.
