Universal Studios Unveils Frisco Theme Park

The city of Frisco has shared the plans for the upcoming Universal Studios theme park, providing residents with detailed information and updates on the project, according to a Local Profile article. They say,

“The city of Frisco released the plans for the highly anticipated Universal Studios theme park coming to the northeast corner of Dallas Parkway and Panther Creek Parkway.

On the city’s Universal page, all plans and studies are available to the public in order to give residents an idea of what to expect from the theme park, as well as stay updated on the latest Universal plans. “

The Universal Studios theme park in Frisco will be part of the larger Fields development, which includes various amenities and upscale residential units. Gensler is the architect for the project, according to a WFAA article which reports,

“The theme park will be part of the massive Fields development — the more than 2,500-acre masterplanned project in Frisco that also includes the PGA of Americas headquarters, the Omni PGA Frisco Resort, two 18-hole PGA championship golf courses, and thousands of high-end residential units ranging from luxury single-family to apartments and condos.

Gensler, the world’s largest architecture and design firm, was already the executive architect over the Fields development and is also the architect for Fields West, the 180-acre upscale urban village under development in the heart of the broader Fields development.”

The proposed Universal Studios park in Frisco will have a unique focus on families with young children and will prioritize minimizing noise and light impacts on nearby neighborhoods.
